Enjoy an exciting range of local activities with a home at Wexham Green

Wexham Green is perfectly placed to enjoy a great range of services, facilities and activities in the local area. As Slough Borough Council (SBC) prepares to launch its new leisure centre, we’ve taken a look at the best places for residents to visit for a fun family day out.

  1. Be at The Centre of fun

First things first, The Centre is the new flagship leisure facility for residents in Slough and the surrounding villages and towns. It is part of SBC’s broader leisure strategy and will open its doors to the public on 25th March. The facility will include an eight-lane 25m swimming pool, a learner pool, four court sports hall, gym and exercise studios as well as a café and treatment room.

  1. Take your pick

Get the whole family involved at Copas Farm Iver, where you can pick your own fresh and local seasonal goodness. The farm, which dates back to the 1600s, opens during the summer months and is just 3.7 miles away from Wexham Green. It is the perfect place to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine; there is also a farm shop to purchase anything you can’t pick yourself.

  1. Head to the woods

For park lovers, Wexham Green is particularly well placed.

Beautiful Langley Park – known as a haven for wildlife – is just over a mile from Wexham Green, while Black Park Country Park (2.1 miles away) offers miles of woodland tracks and trails as well as a ‘Go Ape’ course and an adventure playground.

Upton Court Park is 2.3 miles from Wexham Green and has a natural rural charm with many natural areas and woodlands to discover. There are plenty of play areas to keep young visitors entertained and lots of seating for the adults, so it’s no wonder this is such a popular park for families to visit all year round.

  1. Monkey around at Salt Hill Activity Centre

The activity centre is an all-weather entertainment hub right at the heart of Slough. From the heights of a ‘leap of faith’ ropes course to the tunnels and chambers of the indoor caving centre, it has everything a little adventurer could want. Tots have a special under-fives zone to explore, so everyone can play safely. The centre is situated 2.3 miles from Wexham Green.

  1. Follow the LEGO brick road

Located seven miles away from Wexham Green, Legoland Windsor Resort offers excitement-seekers of all ages a day of fun, with over 55 rides and attractions dedicated to toddlers, older children and families. Visitors have the chance to drive a LEGO car, set sail with Vikings or even follow a pirate trail.

With so many facilities and leisure opportunities in the local area, Wexham Green is a wonderful place to live. To find out more, please call us on 01753 468578.
