Wexham is a small historic village featuring a 12th Century parish church, a gastro pub, 16th Century Wexham Court (now a school), and Stoke Park Country Club.

Its location has grown in popularity over the years, encouraging many now historical stately homes with its deer parks and smart country residences to settle in the surrounding area, drawn in by the proximity to the capital and countryside, including the royally-famous Windsor Castle and Eton College, just a short drive away.

Slough, the largest nearby town is a buzzing blend of shopping and commerce, and the focal point for a complete transformation which will befit its unofficial status as the capital of East Berkshire.  

The grand plans for Slough include a new ice arena opening Jan 2018, two new hotels and restaurants and bars in the town centre to complement the fabulous ‘curve’ library quarter shops and leisure centres, as well as the major station upgrade with the opening of Crossrail in 2019.

Local towns include: Slough (10 minutes by car), Uxbridge (15 minutes by car), Eton (20 minutes by car), Windsor (25 minutes by car), Beaconsfield (20 minutes by car) and High Wycombe (25 minutes by car)

High speed rail links to London Paddington (17 minutes) and the forthcoming Crossrail effect will well and truly put Slough on the map. Heathrow and Luton airports are both reached within the hour, and the channel port of Portsmouth in 90 minutes.

Getting around the local area is made easy through excellent bus links as well as local cycle hire schemes such as Cycle Hub and Cycle Slough, which along with the new cycle ways, are all part of the council’s ambitions to make cycling easier, safer and enjoyable!
